On your marks, get set, ski!
For finding a cheap ski pass, buying equipment at the best price, keeping an eye on the weather from home or anywhere else in the world, the Net is the place to be. It is the time of year for ski holidays, snowmen and snowball fights. Maybe you don't feel like dashing around during your lunch break or making dozens of phone calls to find a good deal or get hold of some skis? It's true, why bother when you can do it all from the comfort of your home?
Did you check the weather before going out? If you're still hesitating between two destinations but you don't know which one will have the best weather, agents could help you avoid any meteorological surprises. They fetch data automatically from meteorological centers and bring the latest weather news directly to your computer. The best ones even offer a five-day forecast. Very handy! The forecasts can be accompanied by statistics, satellite pictures or even webcams.
How about transport? To save time and money, there are also price comparison agents specialized in travel. They offer different themes, such as "skiing abroad", "family chalet holidays", "all-included ski holidays", even "ski safari"! Sounds good, doesn't it? From Canada to New Zealand, passing by the Himalayas or Alaska, you just need to specify your destination and holiday dates, and the comparison agent will take over. You can even buy the chosen holiday package on-line.
Have you lost your gloves, or worn out your boots? No worries, with comparison agents you can also find the best deals on accessories.
AgentLand wishes you happy holidays.

> An intelligent football shirt
Football shirts are being developed which have their own on-board computer, which will be able to track the pace and acceleration of the wearer. Researchers in "wearable" computers at the University of Birmingham, UK, are exploring ways of remotely monitoring the performance of people playing sports.
> Making the Music Sway to Your Beat
A wearable system of sensors allows users to create and play music while doing routine tasks and share performances with one another over a wireless network. Tapping any of the sensors produces a digital signal corresponding to a note or a musical sequence. This signal is transmitted to a computer, where it merges with signals from other users and the result is heard on headsets.
> Make your website development and browsing faster

> Intelligence Relative, Study Says
Think you're smart? Really smart? Well, it might not matter as long as someone's just a little bit smarter, according to some new research.
A pair of British mathematicians pitted computerized "minibrains" against each other in a battle of wits, and found that brains with an edge could beat the system and their competitors. The researchers say the results could provide a new perspective on intelligence, but critics are skeptical.
