New on AgentLand !

Cybelle, our virtual guide, has tested for you all the intelligent agents available for downloading on AgentLand. She has even given each of them a mark between 1 and 5, represented by the AgentLand eye logo next to the agent's name.

Cybelle has left nothing to chance: features, interface, rapidity and user-friendliness have all been put to the test. Like an impartial judge, she holds up the score card for each agent. With a little smile when it is one of her personal favorites.

With Cybelle's help, the AgentLand team is setting out to test more agents from now on. All their secrets will be revealed. The agent laboratory is well worth the detour, a place where you can read the team's opinion regarding both technical matters (downloading, installation…) and the agent' s operation (ease of use, problems, strong points…). By regularly checking our intelligent agent laboratory, you will be kept in touch with news of all the latest agent tests.

Stay tuned! ;-)

>> File Sharing <<

> KaZaA
KaZaA, the file sharing agent, has been updated. You can now search for files according to their size in the advanced search. The network performance has also been optimized, so searches are faster, and a new feature has been added to increase your privacy protection. In this new version you can list the files held by other users on the network

> FlashGet
FlashGet can split downloaded files into sections, downloading each section simultaneously, for an increase in downloading speed from 100% to 500%. This, coupled with FlashGet's powerful and easy-to-use management features, helps you take control of your downloads and also permits you to resume a download if the connection is broken.

> PINO the Humanoid Robot
Pino is a small humanoid robot whose name and long nose are modeled on Pinocchio. It was developed to take part in the RoboCup Humanoid League. "Our robot is intended to be used as a part of everyday life, and we think it will play a core role in that segment of the market," ZMP President Hisashi Taniguchi said.
Pino can walk and move its upper body freely, although its walking capabilities are not yet highly developed.

> Wearable Visual Robots

Its aim is to develop algorithms, methods and hardware in order to create to have a Wearable Robot (WeRo) able to understand with the wearer's world by using artificial vision.

> The ChatterBox Challenge
The ChatterBox Challenge is an artificial intelligence contest which will determine who has the best overall bot. In essence, it is an informal version of the Turing Test, geared more for fun rather than a serious scientific project. You will find all kinds of whose ability varies widely from very complex to very simple. The contest is set up in a way that everybody can participate: visitors are invited to chat to different bots and give them marks out of ten in order to determine the eventual winner.
