  • Frequently without advertisements


  • The user is passive
  • Significant consumption of resources (obstruction of the internal network and the Internet in general)
  • Needs a fairly powerful computer
  • Often obligatory advertisements
  • Problems of security
  • Content not always rich and varied
  • No universal protocol as yet
Pull Agents:
  • More complex to use
  • Interface not always user-friendly
  • Possibility of retrieving irrelevant and unreliable information
  • Software and contents sometimes have to be bought.
  • No universal protocol as yet
