Chatterbots
Cheez

What gave you the idea of developing a bot?
A friend mentioned something about AI on line. I stuck "Artificial Intelligence" into Googol and it led me to the Personality Forge.
Is creating bots a passion for you? A hobby?
At least a passion. More like an obsession.
When did you start creating bots? Why?
About September 17. I think I needed something to jump start my brain.
What language is your bot programmed in?
For that you'd have to ask the Professor.
How much time do you spend working on your bot per week/month/year?
5-7 hours per week now. It has been known to be 3 or more hours a day.
In your opinion, what are the best qualities of your bot?
She is feisty, opinionated and knows a lot about Novarian History.
What is your ultimate goal for your bot?
I'm a writer. I've been treating Cheez, and some of her relatives, as characters in a novel.
How do you see chatterbots being used in the future?
See above. Something like inter-active story-telling. The plot to be revealed by the bots in response to input from the readers/users.
Can chatterbots replace humans?
I think they have, in certain situations.
What is your favorite bot memory?
I forget the specifics but it was when she came up with some absolutely appropriate dialogue that I didn't remember entering.
What was your worst bot moment?
When a normally extremely articulate bot chats with a human-being user that you especially want to impress and comes up with nothing but garbage.
