He is a professor of Computer Communication in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Lulea University of Technology. He is also the Research Director of the Computer and Network Architecture Laboratory at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science and a member of the Research Advisory Board of the Hewlett-Packard Internet Research Institute .

 Vasant Honavar  
Honavar founded and directs the Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University. Some of the research in this laboratory has been supported through research grants from National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, Electric Power Research Institute, etc.
